Before an event

Prepare your first session

Check access, devices, display, and backup steps before participants arrive.

Preparation checklist

  1. Confirm that the signed-in account can create the room and cover the planned number of participants.
  2. Confirm that the scenario you plan to use is selectable.
  3. Test the facilitator device, one participant device, the shared display, and the event connection.
  4. In Host readiness, choose the exact room and distinguish Room observed, Player reported and Not tested. Refresh expired checks; account setup alone does not test the event.
  5. Use Practice on the intended network: join a participant, prepare the projector briefing, listen on the event speakers, check captions or the complete text fallback, and test fullscreen and reconnect.
  6. Read the facilitator walkthrough and keep the event continuity guide available offline.
  7. If another facilitator will help, agree on responsibilities without sharing account credentials.

If a check is incomplete

Follow the action shown beside the problem. An account or access problem needs the account owner or account administrator. A browser or display problem can usually be addressed on the affected device.

Important: A Ready result applies only to the named observation. Warning means a limitation or untested condition; Blocked needs recovery. No check grants launch access or certifies a physical device, another browser or assistive technology. Rehearse each environment you intend to use.
