Before an event
Prepare your first session
Check access, devices, display, and backup steps before participants arrive.
Preparation checklist
- Confirm that the signed-in account can create the room and cover the planned number of participants.
- Confirm that the scenario you plan to use is selectable.
- Test the facilitator device, one participant device, the shared display, and the event connection.
- In Host readiness, choose the exact room and distinguish Room observed, Player reported and Not tested. Refresh expired checks; account setup alone does not test the event.
- Use Practice on the intended network: join a participant, prepare the projector briefing, listen on the event speakers, check captions or the complete text fallback, and test fullscreen and reconnect.
- Read the facilitator walkthrough and keep the event continuity guide available offline.
- If another facilitator will help, agree on responsibilities without sharing account credentials.
If a check is incomplete
Follow the action shown beside the problem. An account or access problem needs the account owner or account administrator. A browser or display problem can usually be addressed on the affected device.
Important: A Ready result applies only to the named observation. Warning means a limitation or untested condition; Blocked needs recovery. No check grants launch access or certifies a physical device, another browser or assistive technology. Rehearse each environment you intend to use.
